Common questions

Do I need an appointment?

No, self-wash is walk-in. Come by any day up to 30 minutes before closing. During our busiest hours there may be a brief wait for a station to open up.

Where can I use the self-wash?

At both salons, Carefree and Moon Valley. The mobile van doesn't have a self-wash station.

What's provided?

Raised tubs, a leash and anchor at every station, our BatherBox soap-and-conditioner system, brushes, aprons, clean towels, and gentle dryers in the drying room. And we clean up afterwards.

How much does the self-wash cost?

$24.99 per pet, per visit, with everything included. If you come often, a membership pays for itself: $39.99 a month for one pet, or $69.99 a month for every pet in your household, both with unlimited visits.

How do I sign up for a membership?

Ask a staff member at either salon, or give us a call, and we'll set it up on your account in a minute. There's no contract, and you can cancel any time.

Self-wash rules

The short version of the agreement you sign at check-in:

  • Dogs and cats only, and pets stay leashed at all times, in the tubs and at the drying stations.
  • You're responsible for your pet the whole visit. Keep them from approaching other pets, and give them a break if they seem stressed.
  • Pets must be current on rabies vaccination and free of anything contagious.
  • Keep the water in the tub, and towel-dry your pet in the tub before heading to the drying room.
  • Outside shampoos, products, or tools need a front-desk OK first.
  • Leave the shampoo calibration knobs alone. If something isn't dispensing, ask a staff member.
  • Return leashes, towels, and aprons to their marked spots, and leave the brushes and bins at the station for the next guest.
  • Finishing touches are complimentary within reason: up to two perfume sprays and one bandana or bow per pet.
  • Accidents happen. Just clean up after your pet, and ask staff for supplies.
  • Visits are limited to 60 minutes per pet, washing and drying combined.
  • Staff can pause or end a session for safety or rule violations, without a refund.

The full Self-Serve Wash & Dry Agreement is presented at check-in.
